I'm Kallie, owner and writer of Happy, Honey & Lark. This blog was created 2 weeks before I graduated from college in 2009. Directionless and completely clueless about what the world held next I started a blog to keep my writing skills sharp and my brain working. I was a radio DJ in college and blogged my playlists and concert reviews but I'd always been a lurker on LiveJournal fashion communities and bemoaned the fact that the style I had for myself in my head did not match the clothes I was actually wearing. Thus began my attempt to get with it and its snowballed from there.
To be honest, I figured this would fizzle out after I got a career established, but being a part of this community and continuing to write this blog has brought me new friends and a world of adventure.
This is a space for sharing: goofy pictures of a Friday night, my shoe obsessions, new collections, personal style and many more things I may not have even thought of yet.
I shoot my pictures with a Canon Rebel T3i with an 18-55mm kit zoom lens, 35mm and a 28mm lens. I hardly ever use the flash because its distracting and my friends have complained that its "blinding."
As per the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” I should let you know that sometimes I partner with brands or advertisers to publish a “partner post.” I've been compensated in cash payment, gift, or something else of value to write it but I will only recommend things I like and will be fully honest in all written reviews of products. I'll let you know in the post when this is the case!
