Twenty-Fourteen

New Year's Day I like to go to the beach, its refreshing and a good way to mark a new beginning. This year I plan to blog more, define my style further, read more and curse less. Then again, I always say I'll curse less and never do. Still feeling the festive holiday spirit I spent New Year's Day in a gold jaquard skirt with a toile tee. Paired with a cozy cardigan and tights to keep warm and take the party down a notch for a quick sunset ride along the boardwalk. The happy coincidence of my outfits colors matching the sky over the water gave me a really good feeling about twenty-fourteen.

  1. Great New Year's Day outfit! I love the way the patterns of the skirt and top complement each other. The setting looks like the perfect place to start 2014.

  15. I love the expression on your face in the last photo!
I hope you are able to try to not swear as much. I can understand how that is hard, though not personally. I don't think I've sworn since fifth grade, but my husband worked on cutting it out a lot for the past three years and I think he only slips maybe once every few months now. I think NY and NJ people have the foulest mouths or something, because most of our friends say the f word every other word (which is rough to deal with when our boys never even heard a bad word before). How's your progress going?
