I met up with Courteney early in the morning and got ready to run.

My camera stayed with Rich while I was running, but here were are coming up to the finish line!

Courteney, Taylor and me at the finish

With the rest of the team having frozen yogurt pops.

Color toss, cotton candy clouds.

Whoo!!

Color Run seems like so much fun! I'm signed up to go in September I can't wait!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun looking event!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Very colorful & fun organization, you seem very happy!
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess you're at the same road with your mom, as I remember that she likes to run as well :)
Hugs!
Hey, thanks for sharing this article.I saw the run as a chance to raise some money for the Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation and go for a non-competitive run with my friends and have a little fun with some colored corn starch. I'm sorry if I've offended you. If I were invited to a Holi celebration I would be honored. (I grew up in a neighborhood with lots of Indian people so I've been able to go to quite a few traditional celebrations but never Holi).
ReplyDeleteShe does! The other day in Brooklyn I saw a place called Deniz Restaurant and I tried to get a pic and missed, but it made me think of you!
ReplyDeleteAhaha really! :) "Deniz" means "sea" in our language.
ReplyDeleteAhh! Great photos. Erin did this in Mass. this year but I couldn't make it. Looks like so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI know about 12 other people who ran in this one too. ;)
ReplyDeleteGIRL. Dat bod. I have no idea what these crazy color runs are? It looks super uncomfortable. And yet now I feel like doing it. CARDIO.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty gross and hard to breathe with the cornstarch in my face and it was a million degrees outside on top of blacktop, but it was fun. Hahaha, yea, I do a lot of cardio as stress relief. Whenever I'm in great shape you can bet I'm stressed.
ReplyDeleteNice one! And great pictures. There´s so many things with coloured dust throwing lately... I´ve seen it in at least two music videos, and ad, and there have been two separate Holi Festivals here in Barcelon. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Probably coming to New York for a few days this August... you around mid August?
That looks so amazingly fun. I want to get a little more serious about running. I just did 4 miles the other day and that was a huge step—I plateau'd at 3 miles two years ago and can't seem to get over that hump. I want to do a half-marathon this year!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to do of these, but they keep selling out in Michigan! You guys look so awesome and like you are having a blast!
ReplyDeleteI think signing up with a team is the easiest way to do it if you've got a few friends interested. It is really fun!
ReplyDeleteI have never run 4 miles as an adult! I did couch to 5K a year ago and have also sort of crapped out at 3ish miles. I'm thinking of doing couch to 10K though. I didn't know you liked running!! Have you thought of getting a training app on your phone?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome, I've never seen one in NY. I will be around in mid-August!! Let me know the dates and shoot me an email :) My couch is your couch.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, this looks amazing!

I really feel like all my friends did this this year! This and/or the Warrior Dash. Congrats on running and completing it, even with all that crazy dye in your face!
