Do you ever see a dress and think of dancing, drinking beers, laughing and having a great time rather than how you'll look, or if it will it hide the flaws you obsess over? That happened to me when I saw this one. Its so playful and I could tell just by looking that the skirt was made for twirling. Even though its a 1960's vintage, the pattern reminds me of half a dozen spaghetti strap tank tops I wore in middle school that were probably inspired by beauties like this.
I bought it from one of my favorite stores, Rust Belt Vintage and had intended to wear it on Easter but the weather didn't cooperate. Now that spring has arrived I hope I can wear it as often as possible.

Ahh, I can't wait to see it on you! The pattern on it is gorgeous! How do you find these things in vintage shops??
ReplyDeleteOoh this is really cute. I love it's print and the fact that it appears to be trimmed with velvet.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so cool, it's actually some kind of soft fabric similar to the rest of the dress but velvet would be a lovely touch
