A Weekend In The Mountains

On Friday night after work Lynn and Kim came to pick me and Lauren up at my apartment for a weekend-long trip to the Poconos for Courteney's birthday. We drove through New York City, New Jersey and across the Delaware Water Gap until we arrived at a beautiful cabin in foggy Pennsylvania. When we arrived it was midnight and the others were already there and drinking so we walked into a party in full swing.
We had drinks and played Sour Apples to Apples.
I drank both hard cider and a glass of red wine. Shortly after these photos we all piled into the little hot tub with bottles of champagne and stayed in until 4 in the morning.
The next day we woke up to the foggy forest.
I thought the weather was bad for skiing or tubing, so while some people braved the mountain, the rest of us stayed in the lodge drinking beers and singing along with the band. Sometimes its just all about who you're with rather than what you're doing.

I made a furry, sweet friend named Rosie.
All of us!
When we got home it was the time for relaxing and snuggling up on the couches with beer.
There was a crazy cake baked in secret.

We made a huge sit down taco dinner.
To the birthday girl!
We relaxed after dinner which gave way to drinking games, which led to dancing on chairs which led to another late night dip in the hot tub.
Such a good and exhausting weekend.

  2. God, that sounds like a hangover and a half! Very envious of champagne in the hot tub though...

  3. Ahhhhh! The Poconos are my motherland :) Looks soooo fun.

  4. Oh, this looks like a wonderfully fun time! On a side note, it looks like one of your friends went to the same college as I did!
