Buttercup baby

These yellow flowers are not buttercups, those are long gone until next spring but my skirt reminds me of them an awful lot. The way it floats out and around in a circle like the petals of a delicate yellow flower. However feminine it is I almost always wear it when I'm playing outside, eating messy food and picking up furniture for the apartment. Its deception is all in the length that would make it easy to dress up if I were so inclined, but that length also keeps me covered even if I'm running around like some bizarre interpretive dance.
I wore it to spend some time with my mom this weekend shopping for vintage dresses and eating watermelon. She was even nice enough to snap my pictures for me.

  8. This looks like something I'd love to be wearing right now, if the weather were anywhere near as good enough in the UK. Your skirt is so pretty, and I love the stripes layered over the top x

  15.  I should probably make a post about this, I'm not sure "thrifted" is the word so much as its not really vintage but I did buy it second hand at this awesome place near my apartment. It was kind of a fluke because I don't think anyone thought it was for sale and I asked and it was...my lucky day. Its a bit scuffed but I read some tutorials on cleaning up leather and now its ok-ish. If you're in NY send me an email and we can go check out the store!
