Home sweet apartment

My apartment is still very much a work in progress, but its come a long way since I moved in and spent nearly two weeks cleaning and painting. Here are a few pictures from around my new home.
Teas, cookbooks and whiskey in the windowsill.
Kettle.
My little table with little beasties.
Reminders of home.
Wonderful closet.
Princess bed.
New York City in my window.

  1. I love the view from your window... it's what you always imagine a New York apartment to have... the back of some buildings and maybe an alley. : )  Who/how many are you living with?

  6. Personalizing a new home is always so much fun.  You get to make it yours.  And when one is as stylish as you, there's plenty to work with.  Good luck!

  7. Tea, cookbooks and whiskey on the windowsill.... WE ARE THE SAME PERSON.

Seriously though, your place looks really sweet.  I can't wait to see it in person one of these days!  You seem to be really organized for having moved in less than two weeks ago and working full time.  Good work.

  9. Nice to look at bits of your apartment! I intended to show some bits of my studio too, but now it's been a bit too messy since my bf mooved in with me! Annnnd, I also have that ikea lamp ;) I had two in my room back in Portugal and couldn't resist buying the same here, most of my decoration bits and pieces are white! Also, love your bed, I wish I had one like that!

PS: Thanks for your advice one steaming wrinkly dresses in the bathroom! I did it that day and the dress looks almost perfect now, cheers! :)

I love how your view is so "new york apartment"- growing up that was my view too. I still live in new York city now yet my view is trees and flowers from the park.

  17. I wanna marry your turquoise kettle, Kallie! It is so adorable. Everything is just so much better, especially the bedroom. It looks so clean. LOL @ your huge eye-glasses beside the lampshade. I also have that at home, but I never go out wearing that! Though, my cousin does. Well, it's always best to clean your apartment regularly.
