On my final day in Barcelona I headed out early in the morning to visit Park Güell. I took the Metro and made some friends who were also looking for the entrance. Its high up on a hill, so we took a series of escalators to the stairs to the winding path and into the park. Once there I went off on my own to find some coffee and breakfast.
I sat in a sunlit alcove for a little while and read my book while I listened to a band playing Bach. This sounds made up, but isn't. It was awesome.Walked past Gaudi's home inside the park. After the park I met with Emily and Albert for a big spring onion festival and then a long nap for me. In the evening Emily and I went for an evening bike ride and coffee through the city as a farewell.
This looks amazing - so pretty. And it sounds as though you had a wonderful time, like something out of a fairytale.
