Golden spring
Leaving for Europe I fully intended to return to the weather I left, chilly early spring. Instead I was greeted with sun and unseasonal warmth. Luckily I was thinking ahead when I bought this skirt as a birthday gift to myself. Envisioning spring picnics and hot summer days when I bought it, it was relegated to the back of the closet, with a sigh, in February. On Tuesday instead of dressing in smart, typical, "first week at a new job clothes," I said screw it and embraced springtime with open arms. My only regret is the tights. I love the idea of lace tights but as soon as I put them on all I see is my legs looking like they have a skin condition.

I love that skirt! What a gorgeous color and the print is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI have the same issues with tights. I usually stick with simple matte black. If I try any other colors or textures my legs just look like brightly colored dough.
You look so pretty! I love the photo of you with the bike. I love having props like that in my pictures. I think the tights look nice, but I do know what you mean. My legs are super skinny so they don't stretch out and show the designs like they are supposed to.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so perfect for the warm weather we've been having in these parts! Looking lovely, lady! Also, hope the new job is going well :)
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so pretty and springy! I don't think the tights make you look like you have a skin condition either. Everything looks great!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I love lace tights and I love when other people wear them but I always feel that I look rather ridiculous in them.
ReplyDeleteLove your floral & springy skirt! You really look adorable with that golden spring.
ReplyDeletePretty! And well done on sticking it to the dress code. : ) Now I want to see pictures of the birthday dress...
ReplyDeleteP.S. That job I was going for decided they needed a native Italian speaker after all : (

i love the skirt!!
ReplyDeleteI ride my bike to work so if its there when I get home/leave it gets to make an appearance in the photos :) Yea, in theory lace tights are awesome, in practice I'm a little leery about them. I saw someone layer them over colored tights once and thought it looked cool though.
ReplyDeleteOOH I love the colours of this outfit! You look amazing. Midi skirts are an awkward length on me, which is a shame because I looooooove them. It looks brilliant on you though! ALSO am very jealous of your galaxy bag, young lady! Very happy to have found your blog :)
