Have you read anything good lately? I'm going to be super bored when I finish this shortly.

Untucked Bookworm
Right now I'm racing through Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy and I'm about halfway through The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and I can hardly put it down. My untucked outfit was perfect for sitting in the warm train with the lights flying past while I was glued to every page. I felt like a girl version of the Mikael Blomkvist that exists in my head, with my untucked blouse and knitted sweater. Somehow I feel like that's how he would dress, but with pants.

I am halfway through as well! It's so so good, I just put it down to list a couple things on etsy haha. I can talk books for hours though and I have tons of recommendations if you want some!
ReplyDeletelovely layering
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games! Totally as addictive as Stieg Larsson. I also just finished The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides which I thought was excellent!
ReplyDeleteI tried reading The Millenium Trilogy too but I just couldn't get into the first book, but I've since seen the film and desperately want to try them again!! I hate seeing the film before reading the book, but now I just really want to read it!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, since you mentioned books, I'm just starting up a book swap at my blog and I wondered if you'd be interested?? I have about 10 people so far, so there'll be plenty of books to swap around =D Let me know if you're interested, I'd love to have you take part =) You can see the post here: http://xrebelangelx.blogspot.com/2012/01/book-swap-any-takers.html

Those books are amazing.... loved every second!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Passage by Justin Cronin at the moment. It's fantasticly written but it's mean't to be a horror... I'm a bit terrified of what is going to happen but I can't make myself stop reading - it's to good!

Love your outfit and your Redwood National park tote!
ReplyDeleteI read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo just before Christmas and couldn't put it down, but decided against reading the other two (for now) because Swedish crime novels with their really ugly depiction of life always freak me out. I'm a wimp. : )
ReplyDeletegreat cozy sweater! i saw the girl with the dragon tattoo movie.. gotta read the books now!

So those tights with those shoes are pretty freaking incredible.

I read that trilogy and reacted similarly (only I was wearing pants...). I was a little disappointed by the Swedish movie which makes me reluctant to see the new American one. Have you seen either?
ReplyDeleteNeither. I'm dying to see the American one...but not so much that I would cut into my free time which has been consumed by finishing the books. Seriously, I started them two weeks ago and am now 80% through the third book (according to my Kindle).
ReplyDeleteNOOOOO! Read them. NOW! Also, I'll email you but a plan to visit Barcelona in March is starting to brew in my mind.
ReplyDeleteThat definitely looks like a good snuggle-and-read outfit for sure. You look lovely :)
ReplyDeleteJust finished reading the series - SO GOOD!!!! And I agree...I feel like I need another fantastic page-turner to read, but don't know what. :/ Saw someone else mentioned a book titled The Marriage Plot? I'll have to check it out! :-)

The layering of your outfit is truly perfection! And I adore your tote bag too. What a beauty!

Your boots are awesome and I really like the layering in this outfit. That sweater is so cute and cozy-looking.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I felt when I finished the Trilogy. :) It's a brilliant series and very very addictive! I got it as an audiobook as well and listened again a few times while working... (Some people don't get it but I love rereading stuff!)
ReplyDeleteI really know nothing about those books/movies except that they're everywhere and that I adore Rooney Mara's style, haha. I might just have to give in and give them a go.
ReplyDeleteLately I've been reading a lot of Jonathan Safran Foer - currently, Eating Animals, but I think I might re-read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close soon. My mom and sister have been reading the Hunger Games, so I'll probably start on that soon too!
I love this ensemble! so me [well if I were into skirts]. I bought a couple of Maya Angelou books from a second hand store. I must budget that that trilogy.
ReplyDeleteLove from Jo'burg
I love the way you dress and I am now in a copy of your blog, more sweater dress .. see it
