Because I love you all, I'm sharing my 200 song playlist of Christmas tunes I have been compiling as I come across albums that catch my fancy. Those who hate Christmas music, just ignore the playlist. Though I can't fathom anyone hating Christmas music. It just makes so sense to me. Even my best friend (who is Jewish) loves the holiday music playing everywhere. In college my roommate and I would drive around Pennsylvania blasting Savage Garden and Smashing Pumpkins Christmas songs all year round!
On Sunday night my mom and I decorated our Christmas tree in simple, classic gold with hints of red. We call it our Mies van der Rohe interpretation, or the "less is more tree" for short.
I wish I could say that we listened to this mix while we were decorating, but the finale of Survivor was on, and you don't want to get between my mom and the final vote.
I love the colour scheme of the tree, the less is more approach always looks good. And thanks for sharing the playlist, I can't get enough of Christmas music either! xxx
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks so pretty - and I'm a huge sucker for Christmas music as well!

Ahhh! You would definitely get along with one of my friends - first day of December she had compiled and uploaded a mega playlist of Christmas tunes to her ipod. My fave tune for the past two years has been a song by Best Coast and Wavves.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute with your Christmas sweater. I lovely Christmas music. We have a radio station in Canada that plays Christmas music all December. It's so incredible. I have it on all the time!
ReplyDeletePretty tree btw.
okay, i'm saving this playlist for christmas eve i think!! & your tree is lovely, i must say. :)
ReplyDeleteThis playlist is epic! You did a great job compiling this. Wow.
ReplyDeleteoh my god. this playlist. i think i love you.
ReplyDeleteI love you too, thats why there are 200 songs. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love The Andrews Sisters so much. Most of this is what I listen to as well. Other ones I suggest that are wonderful bands that have Christmas albums: Future of Forestry, Branches, Poema, Seabird, Stevie Wonder, The partridge Family "Christmas Card" album (I'm in love with it, I know. . ) . . .anyway this is really great!!! I always loved Jewel's Ava Maria. No Christmas should ever go without Ella Fitzgerald and Sufjan Stevens I think!!!! Those are the best.
