22 November 2011
I went out to the forest and caught 100,000 fireflies
This is my most basic outfit and a perfect example of what I look like when I throw something together at 5:30 in the morning and run out the door. A tee shirt, high waisted skirt, cardigan and very few accessories. Happens at least a few times a week. I'm really exhausted but I promise once I'm out of work tomorrow (early office closing!) blogging will go back to...well...whatever is passing for normal these days at Happy, Honey & Lark. Including the last 2 items of the swap, some killer vintage and all the festivities coming up in the next few days.

ReplyDeleteHi Kallie, beautiful t shirt ....
ReplyDeleteKisses in japan
I wish I could look this fantastic at 5:30 in the morning! If I don't plan an outfit ahead of time I look like a frumptastic mess. I LOVE the colors in your blouse, and how they perfectly complement your skirt. Also, that dress hanging in your closet in the last photo?! You should wear it on your blog so I can be super jealous of how awesome it looks on you! (is that a creepy thing to say? oh well)
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this look.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could look this lovely in the morning!
Such a lovely look!! I adore the striped anthro tee & that skirt has such a lovely fit to it too! Beautiful. xo v
ReplyDeleteabsolutely loving your striped tee dear!
ReplyDeleteIf this is a basic outfit, I love it! The flared skirt, the boots the tee, it looks perfect. Enjoy your festivties :) xo
ReplyDeleteI usually pick stuff out at night, but lately I'm too tired. ALSO the dress hanging there is this one http://happyhoneylark.blogspot.com/2011/10/ill-take-thee-away-into-land-of.html. I might wear it for Thanksgiving, but I'm thinking I want to shorten it (its super see through and it will be waaaay more comfortable if its shorter). Haha its not creepy bc I know you IRL...if I didn't I would totes spam your comment ;) juuussst kidding.
ReplyDeleteExcited for the holiday?
PS--I plan to lurk on your blog quite a bit
It's a really nice "basic" outfit! I wish I had the wherewithal at that time in the morning to combine such a lovely combination of clothes.
ReplyDeleteThat's when people do that (dress in a run at 5am) and still look great that you know that they're awesome, so yeah, you're awesome!
ReplyDeleteI also think your quite a regular blogger, so no need to apologize for anything, I know I'll have always something great to read from you on my google reader several times a week!!
i love your basic look! black tights and great boots work like a charm!

Some people look cute no matter what they wear. You're one of them. Lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to zoom onto your bookshelf to see your books! I can only spot the Twillight books! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great "just thrown together" outfit, I wish more people put this much creativity into their early morning outfits.
You look amazing hun!

ReplyDeleteadorable. I love your casual cute outfits, and your hair is swoon worthy!
ReplyDeleteMy bookshelf is mainly books I've read more than once and a few old text books. Lots of Austen, fairy tales, Harry Potter etc. LOTS of fantasy novels! I can take a better picture for you sometime :)
ReplyDeleteIt's great!! I love the combination!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, I'm so interested in people's bookshelves! When you find you're sharing some favourites, it's a bit like when it turns out you have friends in common. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge re-reader, every book I like, I reread at least once... Like when you want to meet an old friend again. :)
