Gnomish
Hey there, I'm just chillin' with my gnomies (sorry, I couldn't resist). This is part of my garden gnome collection, my eerie white plaster men that I refuse to paint. They just look so much more interesting without color. Today I dressed a little bit like I should be in a garden like an oversized gnome. It was about 70 degrees and sunny, so standing around outside guarding a garden would have been pretty ideal.

Is it weird of me to want to compliment you on how awesome your living room is? Well, I'm doing it anyway. And, of course, this outfit is fantastic. I love your skirt and scarf. Also, I have shoes JUST like those but never know how to style them, so I'll have to try out an outfit like this! :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post. The outfit, the gnomes, but mostly your commentary! ;)
ReplyDeleteYay, the gnomes! I love this! :) And your bike! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great dressed up as a garden guarding gnome! I especially love the scarf as it reminds me of Hungarian gypsy scarves!
I feel like we talked about this one time but I'm Austrian and Hungarian lol, thats probably why I like Hungarian looking scarves and gnomes and stuff...its just in my lineage ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't know you had Austrian ancestors as well! Now I know where the garden gnomes come in! :) Have you visited either country before?
ReplyDeletehehe you and your gnomes are so cute! i love the scarf!

You have enough color to make up for the gnomies. Very cute outfit. You gave me a great idea on how to style a similar top I bought recently -- your addition of the triangular scarf is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteNot yet, but hopefully in 2012!
ReplyDeletei like your top. .:)

Lovely colors together! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletethat skirt is amazing!
ReplyDeleteawww. makes me miss painting ceremics, as I used to do constantly as a child. Cute gnomies!!
ReplyDeletenice outfit ;) really like your top ;)
ReplyDeleteYou should visit Salzburg and the Zwergelgarten (gnomes garden) at Schloss Mirabell. This is the oldest collection of Gnomes and started the european gnome craze back in 1690.
ReplyDeleteThe whole outfit is great, but I am really loving the scarf!

The post about your mom made me cry! My mom was in a really bad accident a few years back too, and she has a lot of trouble with her legs. I want her to read your post but then I don't want her to feel bad you know? It is the most horrible thing to see a parent go through that, months in a wheel chair. But I am happy your mom made it and is so strong!
ReplyDeleteI think you are the most adorable thing in these photos. I need your help with posing without looking like a giant dork, please and thank you! LOVE the scarf & boot/shoes :)
Finally, thank you so much for your sweet comments and continuous support. I seriously will make my butt out to NY one of these days and I am going to squeeze the crap out of you.
Your bike is to die for and the name is so delightfully nerdy. I absolutely love it. And I agree with Nicole - lovely living room! (and outfit, of course :))
ReplyDeleteyou are too cute! i love the pleating on your top paired with the pretty print of your scarf. i'm now singing in my head, "rollin' with the gnomies" (a la rollin' with the homies from clueless).
ReplyDeleteVery cute, as usual. I really like your boots and the pairing of colors in this outfit. That top is really great
ReplyDeleteHaaa that song it totally stuck in my head. I'm very sad Clueless doesn't stream on Netflix. ALSO thank you for clarifying that what is going on on my top is "pleating" I couldn't think of a good word that would accurately describe it. You rule.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a notebook that said "chillin' with my gnomies" on it. With a picture of gnomes. Mwhaha, love it.

I wish I could express with words over the internet how much I adore gnomes. I bought one for my father for his birthday and I even made it a hat. We named it gnomey and it lives in our backyard. It also wears baby sunglasses. This is pretty creepy ok.
ReplyDeleteYou look like an adorable lifesized tall gnome. I love the top and boots!
