Say hello to my new sweatshirt featuring Bambi! I had been searching around for a super-soft sweatshirt to wear in place of a sweater to dress down an outfit, and was delighted when I pulled this one out and it had a tiny deer on it. Bambi actually scared me as a kid, mostly I didn't like talking animals. Being the ironic child that I was however, ET was my favorite movie and I could not go a day without that bulbous alien.
How great of a stripper name would my post title make? I know you were thinking it a little. But why is it that the name of a children's movie character also can conjure up images of exotic dancers' stage names? Someone smart please explain (sassy answers will also be considered).
Anyhoo, enough rambling, here's how I looked today.
Disney via Patterson J. Kincaid sweatshirt, thirfted Gap blouse, BDG pants, Steve Madden shoes circa 2004, vintage locket
You are lucky you hung on to those shoes. They're perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw the title...It's such such a cute sweatshirt! OMG. I was the opposite. ET scared me half to death and the part where he's half drowned in the river was horrifying. I couldn't sleep for like 5 days. You look adorably comfy, though.
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks really cute :)

Love what the bit of sparkle does for this casual look!
ReplyDeleteVery cute sweatshirt! And your flats are totally in tune with it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the Bambi movie, I cried when her mommy got shot by the hunter. Cried unconsoleably. Since then, I get intensely sad at anyone's death. Andy Rooney just died and even that affects me.
I adore your sweatshirt - so cute!
ReplyDeleteOHMY WHAT!? Didn't he JUST retire from 60 minutes?? nooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteYes, he retired last month. I saw his last show and it was bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteHA. Bambi Sparkle. But seriously, this is one of my favorite outfits of yours. You look SO chic lady! And of course, disney characters make mostly everything better.
ReplyDeleteI watch 60 minutes every Sunday, its my favorite news program (aside from Sunday morning) :( That's so sad, but 92 is a ripe old age.
ReplyDeleteBambi scared me too, I didn't really get any of the Disney movies. I disliked Pinocchio so much, I actually walked out of the cinema in the middle of the film! I guess I was about 6 then... I still only like Hercules, the only Disney animation that makes fun of Disney animations. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I have no problems with sweatshirts with Bambis, I think it looks brill! The little locket is such a lovely touch.
That is the best sweater ever!
ReplyDeleteI never liked Bambi when I was a kid, either. I tried watching it once and when Bambi's mom died, I got mad and quit watching.
ReplyDeleteNow I like it (really just because they're all adorable) but still get mad at that part. Or I'll excuse myself to the other room when it happens!
Anyhow, you look so lovely and chic. I also like your SHOEZ. Yeah, I know, I'm going to wear that joke to the ground. It's just my style.
The glitter shoes just elevate this to perfection. Nice one, porn star!
ReplyDeleteHehe love the jumper.. the name did kinda make me think of a stripper.. it's like that old thing where you take the name of your first pet and the street you grew up on to create your stripper (or something else?) name.. so Bambi fits quite well! I love your sparkly shoes! xx
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this simple outfit? I love the little Bambi! I hated the movie as a child because it made me cry, couldn't deal with the mother dying!
ReplyDeletesuch a CUTEEE sweatshirt!!

Steffys Pros and Cons
Your sparkley little flats+ the bambi sweatshirt= A+ amazing. I love how toned down this look is but it still has heaps of personality. Also, how did I not know you went to the Philippines?! I'm going in February and I can't wait :)
ReplyDeletenaw i love bambi, i also love your glittery shoes
ReplyDeleteBambi super :) wszystko fajnie wygląda :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable sweatshirt! I saw a really cute Little Mermaid one on Pinterest that I fell in love with, but it's out of stock :( I also love your sparkly shoes!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love preppy looks like this! I have those pants too :)
ReplyDeleteThat sweatshirt is awesome! What a great find. I absolutely love the sparkly flats you paired with it too.
ReplyDeleteEeee this is too cute! I lovee <3
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS outfit, your hair looks amazing too! About the stripper name: we probably associate the two because
ReplyDeletea) stripper names are almost never sophisticated, they like keeping things simple. So do kids.
b) men like it when women are cute, ditzy and childlike, it's supposed to symbolize fertility or something. So a kid name (like all the names ending on -y to signify a diminishing dimension, like britanny or kelly or tiffany) is hot! :D
cute look and your hair is lookin so good! i wanna go short....
ReplyDeleteCutest jumper and shoes ever!
ReplyDeleteOMG i LOVE this outfit! You look so stunning and that sweater, sweet lord I have to have one.
