Betty Draper is the best character to look at. The best. She's always wearing gorgeous colors and silhouettes and has the prettiest clothes and hair, so today I channelled her a bit in neutral toned clothes and a vintage lucite hair clip from the 60's.

Betty Draper and a neutral palate
I've been watching so much Mad Men its infiltrating my outfits. Even though I work in advertising I just never got around to it until about 2 weeks ago and now I'm already through the first 3 seasons. This seemingly never ending cold has left me with long evenings to lay in bed and marathon my way through it on Netflix. I cough and blow my nose while everyone looks impeccable, elegantly sipping drinks and talking fast. It makes me feel so much better.

ReplyDeletei love mad men!! i can't wait until next year! i've been re-watching the seasons as well!! your outfit is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI can't get past the first ep of Mad Men because of the crazy misogny-but the fashions, ohhhh man. Love it. And I'll try to watch again sometime, I really mean it! You look adorable, and I want to copy this outfit asap.
ReplyDeleteKallie you look so sweet and perfect and not sick at all! I think all the feminine wear I have been sporting has been slightly influenced by you as of late :) I have not seen madmen but I have wanted to!
ReplyDeleteYes Mad Men is indeed the best show ever. I am in total Mad Men withdrawal. The outfits are amazing and the show is so well written. Lovely Betty Draper inspired outfit.
ReplyDeleteSee, I like what you did. When you say you channel Betty Draper, I can see it, but you still look modern. Me, I just wear a poofy '50s dress and look out of place. You look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhats wrong with a poufy 50's dress? I swear if you saw how other people dress where I work you'd realize I look completely out of place. Everyone's very sleek/chic/collegiate. I'm like color/fabric explosion. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat colour combination! Your tanned legs too teehee. Lovely outfit, what an inspiration.
