Woolmark's Fashion by Feelings: Loved

A few weeks ago I was asked to submit a photo of one of my favorite wool looks to a campaign for Woolmark called Fashion by Feelings. In their effort to promote wool as a sustainable material they set up a street style competition for styling wool garments. The looks are categorized into feelings evoked by the photos.
I chose "loved."
On cold winter days I love to curl up in this Icelandic wool sweater and read books about long ago times and places. Snow is always an added bonus that was hard to come by in August. For hundreds of years people have used wool to make clothes for their loved ones. Even now, getting a cozy sweater from someone makes you feel cared for, there's innate sense that the person who gave it is looking out for your well being.
Though my look is a little more on the romantic end of the love spectrum, to me it still evokes love. This is one of my favorite date outfits when the temperature drops.
I'm asking my readers to please vote for my look in the Fashion By Feelings competition. The winner will receive a trip to Australia and I have always wanted to go to Australia (I was borderline obsessed as a teen), but the cost has always been the obstacle. New York and Australia are on nearly the exact opposite sides of the world after all. It would really mean the world to me if you voted for my look and gave me a chance to win this once in a lifetime trip. Click this link to vote: The warmth of love's embrace

  6. It was about 98 degrees farenheit when I did these pics, so I'm sweating profusely AND being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Thanks for your vote :)

I'm so insanely sweaty and covered in mosquitoes in these pictures. I actually cried from all my bites after I took them.
