Here's what I wore on the second day away, though I didn't wear it for long because I spent most of the day exploring the beach in my bathing suit.
*Edit cause I posted this early and wanted to mention that this shirt and ASOS in general really disappointed me. I thought the shirt would be much more fitted than it is. I haven't lost weight but I'm realizing how large clothes are made in stores and where once I was a medium, I'm now swimming in a size small. On the ASOS brand clothes I measured myself with a tape measure and it just doesn't match up to what sizes my measurements correspond to. The shirt was just too cute to return, but I DO wish it fit better.
Does anyone else find this to be a problem with either ASOS or other brands? I know GAP in particular drives me insane with their sizing.

Hello :) I found your blog through the comp on Owl vs. Dove and just wanted to say I love your hair. You remind me a little of Alexa Chung :) I think because I'm wanting to get a hairstyle change I'm noticing everyone else's haha.

that top really is cute, shame it doesnt fit better. Why cant there just be a consistent size chart?? Is that really too hard science?
ReplyDeletethe top is so cute! um... i was super disappointed w ASOS bc i ordered knee highs that looked red in the product photo and theyre a hideous orange. but anyway, yeah it is proven companies have increased their sizes to make ppl feel better about themselves. bummer for us little people!

cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteOh, the sea, the sea! Lovely place, lovely shorts and lovely top! :)
ReplyDeleteI can see how annoying it can be if you'd been waiting for a desired something and it doesn't fit as well as you thought it would... Anyhow, this top is cute as it is. :)
I never shop online so size differences don't matter that much - I just grab a different item from the rack. It takes ages though to work out what size fits me in different shops. Wouldn't it be great if clothes actually had the measurments listed on them in centimetres instead of saying S or M?
Your outfit is perfection! <3 I love your tie up top oh-so much!

Banana Republic and J. Crew are also huge! I think for Asos it depends on the brand and the material. I got an ASOS dress that fit true to size. Perhaps you can make it your little project and tailor it. It sucks its not the exact fit but may be worth an alteration.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect. x

woman. You got this look spot on. (despite the sizing annoyance). The glasses and belt are such a wonderful touch. I hope I manage to squeeze in one last trip to the beach before it gets too cold. x
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!!!

ReplyDeleteSuper cute top! I don't think it look bad (your top that is).... i thought it looked good loose like that. Ive been very lucky with all of my ASOS purchases thank goodness! I actually prefer things not to be tight so I think thats why Ive always been happy with them :)
