All day every day

No exaggeration, I've worn this outfit at least once (probably twice) every weekend since early July. It's directly to blame for my lack of outfit posts. Partially to avoid melting, but mostly to avoid thinking. The other night I changed into it after work for a sunset bike ride on the boardwalk, I just threw my keys, camera and wallet into my backpack and out the door to soak up every last minute of this beautiful summer.
Pictures courtesy of Rich who I am slowly but surely teaching to use my camera, but I don't think I'd let him do the bike+photographing at the same time just yet.
*Edit: I should mention a little something about this skirt. In 2009, the last year of All Points West Music Festival (yes, I'm still heartbroken that its gone) I went with my then boyfriend for all three days of fun in the rain/sun/mud. I had just moved home from college and barely had any clothes that I could afford to ruin. The solution: buying some cheap fabric on sale at a craft store and whipping up three skirts the night before leaving for the festival in my first ever misguided attempt at using my mom's sewing machine. I never expected them to last longer than that weekend, but perhaps my sewing skills are better than I give myself credit for (or I just have a great delicate cycle on the washing machine).

  10. If you're going to pick an outfit for frequent wear, this is the one. Very cute, very feminine, very youthful. Stylish, yet casual.

  11. I've been coveting these Scandinavian backpacks for ages! I've never ever seen one for sale anywhere in Hungary. I guess I'll have to visit Sweden to find one. :)

Kudos on the skirt, it's really flattering and cute! And very sturdy! :)

I think you look so relaxed and natural in the images too which I know can be hard to do (particularly if your me!) haha I was just complimenting another blogger on her ability to look natural - I think it must be something I must master! <3

  13. This outfit looks so cute and comfortable! I think I need to thrift some linen tops now =) And it's so cool that you took the sewing leap and this skirt has lasted! In response to your question, I've been doing some freelance copywriting and editing lately for J Brand, and I've done a little freelance for some other women's clothing brands in the past.

  15. Good work on the homemade skirt! I have been known to get into a clothes altering frenzy before certain holidays and such. I like the easy vibe of your summer outfits. Quite jealous you have a boardwalk to visit too.

  16. Lovely breezy outfit. I can't believe that's the first thing you ever sewed!
The first time I tried to sew a skirt I didn't read the instruction on the pattern that said 'cut two'... Needless to say I was a bit disillusioned with the outcome!

  17. I know I say this everytime.. but you are so stunning.

I think it's wonderful that your skirts have lasted so long! And it definitely doesn't look homemade at all, it looks great, let alone a first attempt!

I love repeating outfits for similar reasons (weather, ease...)
