My advice is to keep it lightweight. This oversized linen shirt is a pale color and a breathable fabric are perfect for keeping cool. If you're working in an office you really shouldn't be wearing your jean shorts to work even though they're sitting there looking all comfy. A good pair of longer, fitted shorts is a good investment. Those awful shorts that are modeled on dress slacks are totally unnecessary (and weird). These Hurley shorts are from when I was 18 and working at PacSun; I still wear them.
Polyester and synthetic materials are better left for days under 80 degrees, along with tights and accessory overload. That and eyeliner. Today I learned the hard way that my long-lasting liquid liner comes right off when my eyeballs sweat because Canal Street feels like a river of fire.
Happy heatwave...pssh.
This is gorgeous, perfect warm-weather outfit :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute!

Good advice. I'm finding it harder to follow your guidelines in menswear but at least I don't have to worry about makeup running. :)

ReplyDeleteI love your nails! And I am so jealous of your hairstyle-- it's so lovely! I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds ridiculously intense over there! I'm not going to lie, though, I wouldn't mind a tiny little bit of extra heat over here; it still doesn't feel like summer.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like your work is pretty laid back and that outfit is pretty perfect!

ReplyDeleteI tend to go with darker colors, like black, since I don't want people to see that I am sweaty. Yuck! I hate heat and humidity!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute though, and I love you nail polish.

Gorgeous top! I hate the heat. ughh. I feel like I've went on a rant about it at least 50 times since May haha. But I think about fall constantly and about how fall is the greatest season in the world and should appear right now. I love your color block nails!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful!! I love your nails. I actually did the same thing except with turquoise and lavender. I feel you with the heat! It's been super hot where I am too.
