Urgh! I love all these boyish looks you picked out. Even the two ladys at the bottom with their boots....something you rock all the time, boots and dresses/skirts! Awesome.
So....in terms of sewing machines and hemming....two secrets...which aren't so much secrets just things I used to skip doing as I wanted to be quicker but have learned are super important. 1. Iron and pin everything you are going to sew. So iron the hem up before you start on the machine. 2. With fuller skirts measure the length you want the hem from the waist, don't eye ball it.
ohh the dress of vichy blue squares is wonderful! And sure, if someday I come to NY (I hope not very late) we can do a blogger meetup!thanks!! I guess that is not exactly like movies, but I would love to see so much diversity of people and places to go!! Have a nice weekend!
