Here is what I meant to post last week when blogger was throwing a tantrum. These are a few pictures of whats inspiring me lately. I keep saying I'm in some kind of rut because I want to change my style (and stop being mistaken for a 15 year old). The best place to start is by deciding how I want it to evolve by drawing inspiration from various sources, because without unlimited funds I'm going to have to work with what I have to help my style grow up.

love these inspirational photos... personally i think people thinking you are younger will be better in the long run, but i can understand why it may be frustrating now... good luck changing your style! can't wait to see what you come up with.

Great inspirational shots - I went through a similar style change up a few years back when I started grad school. It was actually really liberating to evolve!

girl, im turning 25 in 2 weeks and i get mistaken for being a young teenager All The Time. it gets kind of annoying but i've learned to tolerate it :) i do find that dressing a little less juvenile (not that you do my dear, i Love your style!) kind of gives me more confidence and probable makes me look my age hehehe :) these are great inspirations dear! cant wait to see your newly inspired wardrobe! muah!
ReplyDeleteI can actually see you looking like all of those pictures. Whenever I gather inspiration it's a) all over the place, and b) meant for someone with a different body type to me. But you could totally pull all of these off, especially the third look, I think.
ReplyDeleteI'm in this weird zone where I don't want to dress younger than my age (or not much), but I definitely don't want to dress older either. ; O
love the picture of Alexa with that gorgeous dress and the supergas

I love some of these, especially the dress that Alexa Chung is wearing.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely relate to you--about wanting to switch up my style. I look pretty young to start out with but still dress like a fifteen year old. But I think I've found that that's how I feel comfortable, so what can you do?
ReplyDeleteLove how clean and simple all of your inspiration though That scalloped collar blouse is to die for :D
great ispiration look!
ReplyDeleteI love these inspiration photos. The soft colors are so lovely and perfect for spring. People often think I'm younger than I am - though I do usually dress like a five year old- so I can relate! Good luck on switching things up :)
