May Day
Today I celebrated May Day at Old Westbury Gardens where there was sunshine, new lilacs and an exotic car show. It was really just a lucky surprise for Rich (who loves cars) that they were there. It was like watching a kid in a toy store, he was bouncing from car to car talking about horsepower, prices and model specifics. Yes, he knows this off the top of his head. Inside the gardens we had a picnic and looked for turtles and lizards hiding in a pond or under a hedge. Mostly I just futzed with my shorts because I've never worn them without tights and didn't realize they were quite so short. Despite my wardrobe malfunction, it was a pretty adorable day that I wish could go on forever.

Ooo I really like your shorts. I'm always so terrified of wearing shorts. I haven't found a pair that look good on me. So the search continues...
ReplyDeleteAlso what a nice place to have a picnic and the food looks delicious!
I like your shorts and your outfit, it feels so laid back and "springy" :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had fun<3

ReplyDeleteWell I think those shorts look really good on you, with or without tights! In fact all that looks great on you. And also, that deep forest green is an amazing colour, it looks like it compliments so well your complexion and hair and eyes colours!
ReplyDeleteaw these pictures are so pretty!! You look lovely and I adore the emerald green color of your cardigan. I think the shorts look great, but I wish that it would be cool enough to wear tights forever haha. Tights are my favorite =( Anyway, this looks like an ultra fun day and I want to have a picnic like this soon!!

I really like the pictures, and I get the excitement with the cars; I don´t know much about them but I love looking at them, especially if they are old models.

ReplyDeleteLove your cardigan! I've had "I had no idea this was short" mishaps before, but sometimes a cardigan really helps!

ReplyDeleteaww this looks like the best day ever--i love your little spring picnic! my boyfriend is like that about cars too, which is totally weird considering he's such a nerd about history (the two don't seem related to me). i guess once a nerd, always a nerd, about everything :)
ReplyDeletealso, you look absolutely beautiful, as always.
I'm a little jealous of what looks to be the perfect day! I'm itching for a picnic with my husband but the weather hasn't cooperated fully for it to happen!
