Turned out it wasn't such a big deal and I'm not dropping dead anytime soon but better safe than septic. So instead of getting ready and painting my nails and doing blog pics, I was rushing around like a mad woman in order to not miss the ceremony. We were only about 10 minutes late and snuck into the church to watch our friends get married.
But back to my original point: This is what I wore Thursday and Saturday to drink beer and celebrate my Irish heritage on my mom's side. As the story goes, my great-great grandmother lived in Ireland but had had enough of that. When she was sent to Dublin with the tax money she decided a better use for it would be to buy herself a one-way ticket on a boat to New York.
This skirt is one of my best thrift store finds to date, its a Lilly Pulitzer skirt that I found with the tags still on it for $5 at Savers. I was channelling the Irish pride by wearing green while also pulling in some Catholic schoolgirl style.
