"If only everything were as simple as snow."

Last night the snow stuck for the first time, and it is the perfect time to watch one of my favorite movies from childhood. The Polar Bear King, based on a Norwegian folktale with a touch of Jim Henson's magic created for me a perfect storybook winterland, and a curious young woman who must face the consequences of her choices and set her world right again. In a place where kingdoms are made of eternal cold and eternal warmth, evil forces seek to take it all, and a princess falls in love with a giant polar bear who is really a king. The title of the post is my favorite quote from the movie, when the king is trying to understand why his daughter would want to leave him and go with a seemingly vicious polar bear. Life isn't simple, but snow is. My outfit was indirectly inspired by the princess, living in a snow covered land and dreaming of flowers in springtime. I'm nearly frozen solid in these pictures but the sugary snow was too tempting not to play around in.

  6. This is my fave look of yours yet. The detail at the collar of that sweater really sets off your (gorgeous) face. And that skirt... aaah! So girly yet still grown-up.

And riding on the back of a polar bear looks AMAZING. I'm kind of obsessed with fur. Not in a furries way (yikes!), just that I absolutely LOVE snuggling with anything warm and fuzzy :D

  9. I'm very intrigued by this movie (probably because bears are one of my favorite animals) so I think I need to check it out one day.

Also, I love when girls with shorter hair wear their hair in pony tails, it always looks so cute and carefree and makes me want to chop all my hair off! ;)

  12. How cute. The girl with the bear.
Actually one of the sweetest pictures.
About this expressing-in-English thing, now for example I wanted to say that the snow in the pictures is like icing sugar.
I had to search the word "icing"
And there are so many words that are beautiful in your language, but when you translate them in English, they lose their magic!
    I love the last picture.
You make me wanna touch your neck!
