Between holidays

The snow outside is finally sticking, the house smells faintly of latkes and balsam fir. Hanukkah is over, but Christmas is just around the corner. Here are just a few Christmas songs that I love. In high school when the OC season one brought what I thought was my own personal blend of holidays into pop culture they did it with an incredible soundtrack. I had never really cared for holiday music before that, being too wrapped up in what was the newest and most obscure. But the soundtrack to a teen soap led me to discover lots more Christmas music, new and old. Here are a few Christmas songs I love. Don't you just wish there were some good Hanukkah songs, besides that Adam Sandler one?

  1. Some Christmas music can be horribly annoying, others are just inspiring and make me feel so warm and fuzzy. Especially ones but awesome artists that mix the songs into their own style.

  4. Yup. My wife is Jewish and, if there were Hanakkuh songs, she'd be singing them.

  5. Yesss I love that Lips song! And I have to confess that DCFC always remind me of the OC. Season 1 was 7th grade, so I was the prime age to be completely obsessed with it. Oh, Adam Brody... Christmukuh <3

And there really aren't any good Hannukah songs! You'd think there would be, but...

  6. It's so funny you should post about this, because I've just rediscovered a bunch of my "Music From the OC" mixes - more specifically the "Have a Very Merry Chrismukkah" one. It's actually one Christmas CD that I can listen to over and over!
