Wrinkled, Hot, Sweaty, Uncomfortable, Gross

The title is the 5 words that sum up today for me. I guess it wouldn't really be fair if I only posted outfits I really liked on days I feel pretty. You can practically see the humidity in my photos. Lately I've just been in such a funk because its hot and I don't really feel like myself in my new job. This was thrown together quickly and without a lot of thought. Red and purple are one of my all time favorite color combinations so I thought this would be a breeze and I would feel great. Maybe its time for a haircut, or a garage sale.
Anthropologie dress (on super uber sale plus the pockets were accidentally sewn shut so I got a discount), Gap flats, Lulu Guinness purse borrowed from mom
Continuing in the theme of this being the whiniest post ever: I have a tiny breakout on my chin. Which makes this a great opportunity for me to tell you all my ALL TIME favorite skin remedy, and I swear that it works: Milk of Magnesia (yep, for constipation). Put some on a cotton ball and apply a thin layer to your face, wait until it dries, and rinse it off. Its a miracle worker for the skin. People who know me or have been reading my blog for a long time know that I used to have severe acne and this was one of my best tricks for taking down redness and swelling. It also helps tighten pores and prevent shine. I first learned about this simple home remedy from my grandma who found an article about it in a local newspaper. I was completely skeptical at first, but the results were undeniable. Try it!

  8. What a lovely blog, I really like your photographs, they're all taken is such pretty locations. This dress looks so nice on you, lovely material, and the ribbon in your hair is very cute.
Also, good tip about the milk of magnesia! I might have to try it next time I need to. I didn't know it was for constipation though! I've always known people to cover their bodies in it when they ave chicken pox to sooth the itching! x
