1)It stemmed originally from Really Rosy that was loosely tied to my college radio show and focused on music. My favorite post was "What Not to Wear to a Show." Half the time my inspiration for posts stemmed from things we talked about on and off the air in the studio.
2)The name of my blog is from a Francesca Lia Block story called "The Canyon". Happy, Honey, and Lark are the names of three streets in the canyon where the main character dreams of raising a family, and those are the names she wants to give her daughters.
3)I started this blog in part as an outlet to keep myself optimistic after graduating college, being unemployed, and taking Accutane. Its turned into something of a life scrapbook at this point and I love looking back to see how its evolved through reader input and been inspired by all of the amazing blogs I've gotten to read and follow this year.
Here are a few of the highlights from Year One of Happy, Honey, and Lark.
I passed all of my finals and graduated from Penn State University thanks to a healthy diet of tater tots.

All Points West music festival in New Jersey, August 2009.
I spent whole days wandering around the Met alone while listening to Sigur Ros hoping to find some direction in life.

Roadtripped to Boston with my best friend.

I cut off all my hair and decided to make "outfit posts" more regularly.
